Our Mental Health

Hi everyone,

Today I’m going to talk about our mental health.  We hear so much about mental health these days and it’s good that people are talking more about it.  In the past people have been ashamed and suffered in silence.

I know that during my marriage, we both never communicated very well with each other over the years and we became distant.  We grew apart and that was it.  Today, in my new relationship I make sure that if something is bothering me, I will tell him straight away.  It makes such a difference.  I don’t bottle feelings up, I am able to share anything I have with him and it just feels so good.  Today I feel very lucky.

I’ve taken this article from the https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/ website.  I took part in the survey that they have on the site and apparently my mental health is above average!  As I’ve got older, I do feel more confident and able to speak my mind.

Take a look at the tips below on how to look after your mental health.

It’s important to take care of yourself and get the most from life. Below are 10 practical ways to look after your mental health. Making simple changes to how you live doesn’t need to cost a fortune or take up loads of time. Anyone can follow this advice. Why not start today?

  1. Talk about your feelings

Talking about your feelings can help you stay in good mental health and deal with times when you feel troubled.

  1. Keep active

Regular exercise can boost your self-esteem and can help you concentrate, sleep, and look and feel better. Exercise keeps the brain and your other vital organs healthy, and is also a significant benefit towards improving your mental health.

  1. Eat well

Your brain needs a mix of nutrients in order to stay healthy and function well, just like the other organs in your body. A diet that’s good for your physical health is also good for your mental health.

  1. Drink sensibly

We often drink alcohol to change our mood. Some people drink to deal with fear or loneliness, but the effect is only temporary.

When the drink wears off, you feel worse because of the way the alcohol has affected your brain and the rest of your body. Drinking is not a good way to manage difficult feelings.

  1. Keep in touch

There’s nothing better than catching up with someone face to face, but that’s not always possible. You can also give them a call, drop them a note, or chat to them online instead. Keep the lines of communication open: it’s good for you!

  1. Ask for help

None of us are superhuman. We all sometimes get tired or overwhelmed by how we feel or when things don’t go to plan.

If things are getting too much for you and you feel you can’t cope, ask for help. Your family or friends may be able to offer practical help or a listening ear.

  1. Take a break

A change of scene or a change of pace is good for your mental health.

It could be a five-minute pause from cleaning your kitchen, a half-hour lunch break at work, or a weekend exploring somewhere new. A few minutes can be enough to de-stress you. Give yourself some ‘me time’.

  1. Do something you’re good at

What do you love doing? What activities can you lose yourself in? What did you love doing in the past?

Enjoying yourself can help beat stress. Doing an activity you enjoy probably means you’re good at it, and achieving something boosts your self-esteem

  1. Accept who you are

We’re all different. It’s much healthier to accept that you’re unique than to wish you were more like someone else. Feeling good about yourself boosts your confidence to learn new skills, visit new places and make new friends. Good self-esteem helps you cope when life takes a difficult turn.

  1. Care for others

‘Friends are really important… We help each other whenever we can, so it’s a two-way street, and supporting them uplifts me.’

Caring for others is often an important part of keeping up relationships with people close to you. It can even bring you closer together.

These are great tips for keeping your mind and body healthy.  Remember is you suffer with any mental health issue it’s important to speak to someone you trust, maybe a family member, GP, someone at work/school.   Don’t keep anything bottled up.  Feelings are always better shared, the burden is offloaded and it’s good to talk to others.

I hope you enjoyed the article today, and remember, drop me a line if you have any questions or to let me know how you’re getting on.

I’ve added this clip here, listening to these people share their stories is truly amazing.

See you tomorrow

Get the romance back into your life

Hi everyone,

Thanks for coming over and visiting my page.

Did you do the quiz yesterday?  How did you get on??

Today, I have a product for you that I have tried and tested myself!

This is the famous ‘Text the Romance Back’ by Michael Fiore.  I’ve used this, unbeknown to my boyfriend, and it does work.

Image result for michael fiore

I really enjoyed this by Michael and you can see that he is passionate about his work.  I go back to it from time to time and still use some of his great ideas.

He gives you really simple advice on what to say to your man and how to show them that you appreciate what they do for you.  Obviously the way men think is different to us women.  Getting advice from a man is great.  Then just sit back and wait to see how your man reacts to what you have sent him.  He might be a bit taken aback to begin with if he’s not used to you sending him little messages of appreciation.

What I do too, I leave little notes for my boyfriend, on little post it notes, somewhere where he wouldn’t expect to see them like in his passport or on the screen of his laptop, so when he opens it up in work he gets a little message of thanks, it always works wonders. He really does appreciate it.

Click the link below and this will take you to his ‘Text the Romance Back’ program.  Have fun with this and let me know how you get on.

Dating and Relationships

Hi everyone,

After yesterday’s post I hope that you have managed to take some time out and really think about the time that you spend on yourself.  Spoil yourself sometimes, even if it’s only 10 minutes to read a chapter of a book or maybe going for a coffee with a friend.  Put yourself first for once.

Today’s modern world of dating and everybody busy swiping left or right, has become the norm.  I must admit when I met my boyfriend, it was through a dating website.  However, there are lots of mini courses, books and a lot of other articles for you to spend time reading and to get you back on to the dating scene, if you are single of course. And a lot of other courses etc to strengthen the relationship that you are in.  I think sometime people forget that after you get married, you still need to work on the relationship to keep it all interesting or we all just get stuck into a routine.

I have a link here below for you to take the quiz to see which areas of your relationship you need work etc.  Give it a go and let me know what happens 🙂

Enjoy and I’ll speak to you tomorrow ……… remember, click this link below.

Have fun

There is one person you need to love more than anyone.

Hi everyone,

I’ve had a couple of days off and now I’m back …

Tell me, do you feel loved by your partner? Are you in a relationship?  Would you like to be in a relationship?  Well, let me share with you a few things that is more important than any relationship.  There is something that we all have to do first before we even think about our partner, future partner, and that is to love ourselves first.  When we love ourselves and respect ourselves we radiate love and we will draw other people to us.

I came across this article from www.tinybuddha.com  and I though it wold be nice to share it with you.

Not sure what it looks like to love yourself? Here is what I’ve learned. Self-love is…

1. Choosing ourselves, even if it means upsetting others and not being popular anymore. Even if it means we leave a party before anyone else because we feel tired, overwhelmed, or just plain feel done with the crowd.

2. Telling what is true for us, not swallowing words that express what we truly feel, think, or want to do.

3. Giving our body the nurturing, rest, exercise, and comfort it needs to the best of our ability.

4. Wearing clothes that make us feel good and fit our personality instead of wearing clothes that are in fashion that we use to impress others.

5. Building a life that we love while we are single instead of waiting for our prince/princess to show up to explore life and to be happy.

6. Accepting ourselves with the good, the bad, the ugly, the sexy, and the smelly—all of it—and appreciating ourselves as whole people.

7. Making time to do whatever we love, without worrying about wasting time.

8. Owning our inner and outer beauty and complimenting ourselves without feeling guilty, arrogant, or entitled.

9. Not rehashing our past mistakes and dragging ourselves to a dark place when we know that we can only learn from the past; we can’t change it.

10. Spending some quality, connected time with ourselves instead of always watching TV or wasting time on the Internet.

11. Using discretion when sharing our heart, self, and dreams with others.

12. Trusting the path that our soul is on and making a genuine effort to become a conscious co-creator of our destiny.

13. Not blaming our anybody for our current issues, and looking for ways to heal our wounds and change our dysfunctional patterned behaviors by reaching out to ministers, therapists, coaches, and healers.

14. Following what our gut/intuition says instead of living out of our brain and ego.

15. Staying in our integrity, both when it comes to ourselves and when interacting with others out in the world. This includes keeping ourselves in check regarding patterns such as lying, manipulating, co-depending, withholding, and pretending.

16. Allowing ourselves to dream big, without contaminating these dreams with judgments, our perceived limitations, or a lack of sense of deserving.

17. Knowing how we’re spending our emotional, mental, financial, and physical energy, and whether these activities bring back joy, connection, nurturing, rest, and creativity to our lives.

18. Taking responsibility for all of our experiences. Knowing that we have the ability for deeper self-awareness and access to our intuition when it comes to making life choices.

19. Not labeling ourselves with others’ opinions of us, while having the courage to look inside to see if there might be some truth to them.

20. Learning to set boundaries that protect and nurture our relationships, with ourselves and others.

21. Allowing ourselves to make mistakes and not berating ourselves for making them. Instead, choosing to appreciate our desire to learn and grow.

22. Refusing to seek permission or approval to be ourselves. Recognizing that we, like everyone else, deserve to take up space on this planet just as who we are right now.

And lastly, self-love is:

23. Loving and accepting ourselves even when we fail miserably at some of these self-love goals.

No one else can offer these things to us. No one else can take our vitamins for us or prevent us from going into a self-loathing attack.

Even if we land the best partner on the planet, this person won’t be able to make us happy and feel loved unless we create the space for it inside by practicing self-love. This is why self-love is an inside job.

That was very interesting wasn’t it.  It’s time to put yourself first and invest some time in doing what you want.  I did this and it worked for me.  I’m now engaged to be married to the most amazing person ever.

Let me know how you get on, see you tomorrow ….

Do you yearn to feel truly loved by your Man?

Hi everyone,

Thanks for visiting my site.

Today I’m going to talk about how you can turn things around in your relationship. Whether you are in a relationship or you are looking for Mr Right, this advice will bring your man closer to you or it will attract a new someone into your life.  This article is from a lady called Rori Raye.  She’s a relationship coach from America and I have read so much of her articles and she has some great advice.

Rori R

Click on this link below, this will take you to her site.

Her website  is filled with so much information you will be reading her articles all night!

I feel very passionate about relationships.  I believe that everyone should be loved and feel loved.  Of course, relationships need work, to keep everything feeling great.  I think this is where a lot of people fail in relationships.  For me, communication has to be one of the most important factors of a good relationship.  I think the majority of people would agree.

My boyfriend works in another Country and calls me several times during the day and we see each other every weekend.  To me, that takes a lot of commitment but we wouldn’t have it any other way, well, apart from being together!!  He’s just amazing and I met him after I took the advice of this lady here.

Also, below, is a clip of one of her videos.  I really enjoy these she is very good.

Have fun reading and watching her videos and I’ll see you tomorrow ….

Write Your Goals Down

Hi everyone,

Thanks for dropping by and having a look at my site.

Following on from yesterday, I want to tell you how important it is for you to write down your goals.

What are your goals for this year? Make clear written goals and carry them with you everywhere. Read through your goals every day.

It’s proven that the people that set clear goals achieve them and have more success than the people who don’t.

Our brain is just like a GPS system.  You cannot get to where you want to go unless you program the GPS system.  You cannot have your brain create what you want if you don’t tell it what you want, and train your brain to know what you want.

Once you start this you will see things start to manifest into your life.  Feels what it’s like to have them before you actually do.

Have a look at this video, again from Jake Ducey, and the importance of writing down what it is you want.

See you tomorrow ….

Ask yourself, “How can I have all of this?”

Hi everyone,

How can you manifest what you want?  What happens is, when we want something in our life. You know, maybe you want to double your income, you want to make £100,000, you want to find your soulmate, you want to live in your dream house, you want to move to your dream destination. And what happens is our brains are programmed in order to live very small lives.

So when we have a desire, instead of asking “How can I have this thing?”, our brain automatically is programmed from the way our culture is set up, to find out why we can’t have what we want.

Has that ever happened to you before? You wanted something and then immediately your brain came in and was like “Here’s why you can’t have it. It’s not even possible.  And then that happens to us and we we give up before we get started.

We’ve given up and we haven’t even got started. We need  to start to reprogram the brain.

So we’re automatically programmed to think that we can’t have everything that we want. Or when we get a new desire, we’re programmed to think “Why? It’s not possible”. We need to train our brain.

So the first thing to ask yourself is “How can I have this thing?”. Notice that question. It’s an open-ended question that pushes you towards possibilities rather than limitations. So think of something that you want in life, whether it’s more money, whether it’s a new car, or whether you want a new job.  Whatever it is that you want in your life.

Ask yourself “How can I have what I want? How can I have this thing?”. How can you train your brain?

Pull out a pen and paper and you start listing out how you can have it. Possible steps you can take.

You train your brain to get impossibilities, rather than to shut them off and turn the lights off before you even see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Listen to the great Jake Ducey here showing you ways to re-wire your subconcious mind …. see you tomorrow.

Train your Brain

Hi everyone,

Thanks for coming back and taking the time to change your life for the better.

What if I was to tell you that you could train your brain to attract everything that you want in your life?

You see, your brain, if you’ve trained it correctly, will get you anything that you want in life.

Let me show you the steps for how to attract what you want by training your brain to get it for you.

Train your brain to choose a “both” instead of “either/or”

Most people are always choosing either/or. When there’s something that somebody wants in life, or there’s two things that they want in life, they decide which one is more important. Then they go after that. And so what happens is, we’re convincing our brain that we can only have one thing or the other. And it becomes a way that we get out of creative thinking.

We choose one or the other and we tell the brain the other one isn’t that important. You can’t have both of them. So the brain says “I’ll only focus on creating this one thing in your life for you and you can’t have the other thing”.

An example might be someone says “You know, maybe you’ve heard this before you can’t be rich and happy. Choose one or the other.”

And there’s a lot of different things like that, right? You can’t have both. Actually you can have both. You live in a world of infinite possibilities, infinite potentialities. And we live in a totally forgiving, loving, abundant world. We can have whatever we want.

It’s just that people don’t think that they can have everything they want, so they compartmentalize their existence. And then their brain thinks “This is only what they can do in life”.

And so, get in the habit of starting to ask yourself “How can I have both?”

When you see things come up in your life, how can I have both, right? How can I have both? And what you’re doing is you’re training your brain to higher level of possibilities. But you’re also starting to put yourself in a place where you think creatively about how to create what you want, instead of using it as a cop-out to say “I can only have”. “I can only have happiness”, or, you know, “I can’t have this”, “I can’t have that a great job and a great marriage”, and they’d be really healthy. It’s one or the other. How do you have it all?

And when you start to train your brain like that, you find out that life can get a lot better than you ever thought it could.

Come back tomorrow to see how we can continue to attract what we want.  Wouldn’t life be wonderful if you could have everything that you wanted.  All it takes is a few minutes a day to train your brain.  Come back tomorrow for more information.

A Law of Attraction Meditation for Guidance

Hi everyone,
In order for the Law of Attraction to work for you, you need to have the correct mindset.  You need to take time each day to step away from the clutter and the noise. A daily commitment to spend time in this still, quiet place is a commitment to clarity and inner peace.

We need this time and space in our lives in order to remember who we really are, what’s important, and where our personal truth lies. It is our time to calm the spirit and soothe the soul.

You can learn how to meditate in many different ways, but in general, they consist of simply being still and quiet for a period of time and focusing your attention on either your breath or a mantra of some sort.

If you are new to the practice of meditation—your thoughts will drift, and your mind will wander at first. Remember not to be hard on yourself when this happens. This is just part of learning how to meditate.

If you have never meditated before, here’s a simple structure of exercises you can use to begin.

  1. Find a quiet place, close your eyes, and focus on slowing down your breathing.
  2. Repeat an uplifting word or phrase.
  3. Move into a state of quiet.

The regular practice of meditation will help clear your mind of distractions, cleanse your thoughts, and enhance your spiritual connection. It renews the spirit, relaxes the body, and calms the soul.

I always find that concentrating on my breathing helps me meditate.  It has taken a long time for me but it does get easier.  I normally find that my mind is always racing and I find it difficult to switch off!

I hope you enjoyed this and that you do realise that you are in control of your future and you can manifest anything you want.

Have a look at this video from Jake Ducey.  I like his enthusiastic approach to life ….enjoy!

Have a great day and I’ll see you tomorrow. ……

The Law of Attraction in Love and Relationships

Hi everyone,

Thanks for visiting my website.  Today we are going to look at the Law of Attraction and how we can use it when it comes to love.

If you want to create an abundance of love in your life, then focus on love. Be the love you want to attract.

Become more loving and generous with others and with yourself. By creating the vibration of love, you will automatically draw more love into your life.

Focus on whatever it is that you want to create more of in your life, and remember to be grateful for that which you already have.

Gratitude itself is a form of abundance, and the vibrational frequency of gratitude and appreciation will automatically attract even more to be grateful for.

We all deserve to be loved and give love.  I hope that you will use the Law of Attraction to bring more love into your life.

Have a look at this video from Jake Ducey …

Have a great day, see you tomorrow.
